So we finally had a few sunny days in London, before the rain comes back to loom us. With the summer temperature and the extra sunshine, of course I didn't want to miss the opportunity. So I took my camera and had a very longggggg walk along the Southbank and Northbank of London. With my hectic university and work schedules, sometimes I forget London is more than just a city, it definitely has its own beauty within such a populated place.
So with this season's pyjamas trend, I thought I would give it a go too. With the silky white shorts, my initial thought was to pair them up with something a little bit more dressed-up (otherwise it would really look like I'm weraing my pyjamas on the street), hence the black silky top and the white linen coat over that... Hmm, what do you think? By the way, before I forget to mention this... I love the white coat! Been looking for one since ages, now I feel a little bit more completed!
Ohhh, have you wondered who has been my secret photographer in London since my good friend Chloe from Coco the Blog left me (she will return in Sept!)? Here she is, my beautiful friend Luciana!
When I was browsing through Isabel Marant's Spring 12 collection, quite frankly, I was surprised. Usually when you look at designer collections, they usually go under the same theme, or the same theme yet different styles. Here are the sport looks from Isabel Marant's collection:
Then came the beach/ holiday casual:
The 'knit and colourfuls' were also there:
Having said that I don't quite see the structure of this show, yet I still love all the pieces by Isabel Marant though. Maybe sometimes it's good to have not just a fixed structure.
I really love the use of the bright and eye-catching colours by Donna Karen, it's just so chic and... summer! Not to mention the cutting and layout of the outfit from photo 1 and 2, really show the slim feminline figure and oh my god! The shoes! They are beyond the statement of "I need them!".
Can you see that in the last photo of Donna Karen (the DKNY designer), she is wearing a bumbag? (If you have been a long-term follower then you should know that I have a bumbag obsession). Maybe in her next collection she will include some bumbags as accessories...
Another designer post from an Italian brand. Have you noticed I have a little something (called 'love') for everything to do with Italy in general? Another reason why I have been posting about the Italy brands and trends could be to do with the fact that I'm going to Italy for holiday next month. Really cannot wait to escape from the crowded city especially at Olympics time to be honest.
So from now on I'll be searching for beach wear for my holiday, and of course I will share my ideas with you on here! Sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately but I have been busy with a magazine project. Will tell you more about it in the next post!
Haven't we all seen the eye-catching prints in Zara since the start of the summer collection? Have you wondered where Zara got the inspiration from? It's from D&G... of course. D&G SS12 collection really reminds me of the type of holiday where you spend your time at an Italian beach...
